The Rampage RS-450 is everything that is missing from a full bolt on Type-R and has been designed to be the ultimate street and circuit Turbo Upgrade. It can be used with the stock engine and fuel system and under these conditions will support up to about 430 WHP on 93 octane. This upgrade is intended to be used without the need for port injection or a built motor, however we do recommend the new Hondata Fuel System upgrade to maximize the potential of this turbo and protect your engine. The new RS-450 is a direct replacement for your stock turbo and can be tuned with Hondata. We have upgraded the compressor and turbine wheels to larger diameters and improved aero (details below including Dyno graphs), reduced the blade count from 12 to 9 on the turbine wheel, and anodized the billet aluminum 10 blade compressor wheel for added durability. As a part of our service to you, we ceramic coat the turbine housing to retain thermal energy, maximize efficiency, and reduce engine bay temperatures. In addition, we are including our grade 5 titanium downpipe studs as standard hardware with our turbo. A new OEM turbo to cylinder head gasket is also included for your convenience.
The approach to our design and wheel sizing was to retain as much of the factory spool characteristics and significantly open up the mid-range and top-end power band. It was also important to consider the limitations of the factory housings and size our wheel combination accordingly to get the longest life possible from an upgraded unit.

Each rotor group is VSR Balanced at higher speeds than factory and to <.025g tolerance to insure long life under the hardest conditions. By choosing to buy the RS-450, you are not only getting a great upgrade, but you are supporting future development of our products. In return, you will be the first to be notified of new FK8 products as they are developed, giving you a chance to be one of the first to receive them at discounted pricing. If you choose to upgrade to one of our G-Series turbo kits, we will buy back your RS-450 at a reduced price. As development continues on the RS-450 and in the event that we offer a 2nd or even 3rd gen model, you will be the first to be offered the new upgrade with the buy-back option.
**At the time of purchase, you will need to select one of the core exchange options. The first option is to send us the core first, and you will not be required to pay the refundable core charge. Your turbo will ship upon our receipt of a crack/damage free turbo (damage to wheels is OK, housings must be crack free for full core value). The second option is to pay the core charge for immediate shipping of your RS-450 turbo and be refunded once we receive your core.
Rather than push the limit of what this small TD04 turbo is capable of and try to build the biggest possible retrofit, we have developed drop-in Garrett G25-550 & 660 G-series based turbo kits that can also be tuned with Hondata if higher power levels are desired.
