4 years, especially covid-years is a long hiatus from NYC. You wonder who’s grown up and out of cars, who’s gotten too busy to kick it just because the homies popped in to town. But as soon as we landed we realized nothings changed (in a good way). Our boy Mel who chauffeured us for our first NY trip 8-9 years ago picked us up at the airport, took us strait to his local Queens spot for a Dominican breakfast. We ran out to Wekfest NJ to connect with the first round of old Honda migoz and some of the Wekfest homies from back home, ran back to the city (and when I say ran I mean dragged through 2hrs of the most intense Sunday-traffic I’ve ever seen) to hit a local Brooklyn event that popped up. Explored the city and ate all the hype shit all day Mon. Then Monday night, easily the highlight of the trip, a Times Square drive with the boys of Prime NYC. Dream 48 with the boys.
